Welcome to my web-site, my name is Kenny Bryant. I’m a married
mother of three children (four, if you count my husband) and one demanding
cat.
I became interested in African Violets some 15 years ago when I first
met my mother-in-law, Margaret Bryant. When she showed me her violets
with their marvellous array of flowers and colours, I was immediately
drawn to them. I learned from her how easy it was to care for them and
amazingly, that you could grow a wonderful flowering plant from a mere
leaf.
When Margaret was no longer able to look after her violets she asked
me to take care of them for her. I now have over 1,500 plants.
In 2005 when traveling throughout the Southern Alps I came upon Tumut
Valley Violets, where African Violets are the only subject of discussion.
I learned about their innovative ‘wick system’ and joined
with them to form my business, Northern Valley Violets. On adopting their
system of growing African violets my plants thrived.
My business is run from home. But I also attend and present at Garden
Clubs, Markets, Fetes, Aged Care and Retirement Villages, culminating
in the annual Sydney ABC Garden Show at Homebush.
A typical presentation will include a talk on the care and propagation
of African Violets and I’m always available for questions.
If you need any information or help with your African Violets please
do not hesitate to call or e-mail me and I will do my best to help you.
